I find that kettlebell training is a great fitness option for people who don’t feel confident with weight lifting as an exercise practice. Whether they don’t know what to do, or they don’t feel comfortable safely pushing themselves, kettlebell training seems to help people gain the confidence necessary for things like powerlifting, body building, and HIIT training with weights.
Simply learning to use kettlebells properly builds great strength and body awareness, and tends to help lifters become more familiar with applying their strength to greater exertions. My own introduction to kettlebell training made me feel strong for the first time in my life.
The only thing that is magical about kettlebells is that it isn’t possible to progress without gaining a better understanding of how to apply proper body mechanics, control alignment, and practice muscle engagement.
